On 27th January 2021, students and teachers from WSFiZ in Bialystok met with students from our international partner universities for a second time this academic year. The topic of the meeting was Place Branding. The meeting took place virtually on MS Teams. Previously, we had met in December to talk about Management in the Age of Industry 4.0.
After reviewing the materials prepared by WSFiZ teachers ahead of time, each student presented their university and an interesting destination in their country, as well as their understanding of Place Branding. There were student and teacher representatives from Kazakhstan (Semey), Uzbekistan, Georgia (Tbilisi), Russia (Moscow), Lithuania (an international student from Sri Lanka who is studying in Vilnius), and Poland.
We are interested in formalizing our meetings by creating a scientific student club. The working title is LEADERS Language Club. We invite students and teachers who wish to practice their English and learn more about our partner universities to join this initiative. The goal of the club would be to meet once a month during the academic year and discuss various topics connected to Economics, Marketing and Management in English, as well as participate in international scientific conferences and workshops. In this way students can not only increase their knowledge but also develop language skills as well as intercultural competences.
